Penne in Creamy Cheddar Sauce with Chicken

• 400 grams penne pasta
• 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup chopped parsley for garnish

1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Season chicken strips with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and no longer pink in the center, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream and cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Return the chicken to the skillet and add cooked penne. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
